Hummingbird Moths

I went for a short hike at Beaver Dam Sanctuary this evening, and was surprised to find a great number of hummingbird moths working over the wildflowers.

That's crazy. Just yesterday we saw one of these hovering near some flowers in our backyard and were wondering what the heck it was -- I had never seen one before. Thanks for clearing it up! :)
